2022 in Review

Sitting here watching some college football, I started thinking back to what all I got to experience this past year. I’ve had a chance to meet a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends. My BBQ family grew leaps and bounds this year. I dipped my toe into the world of competition barbecue. Most of them being with another team but I did happen to enter one as myself. I got the opportunity to go to Memphis in May which was a jaw dropping experience. I met so many people and made so many new friends. Later in the year, I got to go to The Royal and cook with The Shed. Again, my barbecue family continued to grow.

I had an opportunity to go to The Women’s Grilling Clinic hosted by GrillGirl Robyn. I thought I was going to just be a runner and ended up teaching a station. It was so much fun and I hope to be doing more of that. Was able to bring some barbecue classes to my hometown and made another great friend doing that. I am looking forward to doing more of them in the new year. I attended my first Eggfest which was very cool. I guess what I am trying to say is I got to do a lot of really cool stuff this year. I made a lot of new friends. I am so grateful for each and everyone of them. And I am looking forward to 2023 and what it brings with classes, competitions, sponsorships and ambassadorships. If 2023 is anywhere near what 2022 was, it is gonna be fun. Much love to you all and I hope you all have a Happy New Year!
