How I got here…

Biscuits N Briskets was built around a simple idea. Good food brings people together.

I’m Nick Ray, a backyard barbecue cook, recipe creator, KCBS judge, and the voice behind Biscuits N Briskets. I started sharing my cooks because I loved barbecue, but along the way it became something bigger. It became a way to connect with other cooks, work with great brands, travel to unforgettable events, and help people feel more confident around the grill.

I have cooked beside experienced pitmasters at major barbecue events like Memphis in May, but I still believe the heart of barbecue lives in the backyard. It is the week night burger, the holiday turkey, the pork loin sliced into chops, the smoked snack mix, the Sunday supper, and the meal that makes everybody stop talking for a minute because the food is that good.

Biscuits N Briskets is about approachable barbecue. No gatekeeping. No making things harder than they need to be. Just good food, good people, honest products, and recipes that regular folks can actually make.
